Ulster Unionist Party Appoints Jayne Murray As Chief Executive

Ulster Unionist Party (UUP) Leader Mike Nesbitt MLA is pleased to announce the appointment of Jayne Murray as the Party’s new Chief Executive.

The UUP is preparing itself for the next local and Assembly elections in two years time and hopes to increase on number of seats in the council chambers and in the NI Assembly.

Mike Nesbitt said: “When I became Leader, I committed to building a stronger, more effective organisation with a refreshed core team. The appointment of Jayne Murray as Chief Executive is a continuation of that promise.

Jayne Murray has been appointed as the UUP’s Chief Executive.

“Jayne is a long-standing and committed member who brings energy, experience, and dedication to the role.

“With over 27 years in public affairs, policy development, and community engagement, she has led her own consultancy, delivering campaigns that unite stakeholders, shape policy, and achieve measurable impact.

“Her expertise in leadership, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement positions her to drive efficiency and strengthen the Party’s influence.”

Jayne will head a newly formed communications and administration team, focused on promoting Party policy, streamlining operations and supporting members and elected representatives.

Joining her are Ryan Warren, Emma Cairns, Lewis McVitty and Harry Boal, a passionate and experienced team that will expand further in the months ahead.

Mike Nesbitt added: “This is a positive and practical step to make our Party sharper, stronger and more effective. Jayne is exactly the right person to lead this work.

“I know our members will give her and the team a warm welcome and I look forward to the progress we will make together.”
